The Last Song Synopsis
The Last Song is going to be the love story of the year. The movie is based on one of Nicholas Sparks’ best-selling books. Nicholas Sparks is the writer responsible for other great movies including The Notebook, Message in the Bottle, and Dear John.
The Last Song is starring Disney’s Miley Cyrus, also known as Miley Stewart from the hit TV series Hannah Montana. Cyrus hopes to expand her acting career to an older audience with this movie. This movie will be a huge transition for her as it is entirely surrounded around the theme of love.
The storyline of the movie is comparable to Nicholas Sparks’ other writings. Cyrus plays a girl named Ronnie Miller, who is a defensive teen, currently living with her brother and mother. Her parents divorced when she was younger and Ronnie blames her father for the divorce, holding a long-term grudge against him.
But things change when Ronnie and her brother have to move with their father, Steve Miller, for the summer. At first, tension is still strong between Ronnie and Steve. But things begin to change when Ronnie gets involved with protecting a Loggerhead Sea Turtle nest. Here she meets the very handsome Will Blakelee, played by Liam Hemsworth. As her and Will become closer, she learns that he is a lot deeper and more romantic than she first thought. As Ronnie’s love for Will starts to form, she starts opening up to her dad Steve, breaking the tension. This is where both love and romance take off in the movie, comparable to films like The Notebook. This is definitely the “Must-see” film of the year for any romance fanatics!
Rumours state that the romance has extended out of the movie. Miley Cyrus apparently has been spending time at Liam’s summer getaway in Australia after production and filming was completed.
